U81 Stadtbahnbrücke über den Nordstern

The construction of the U81 metro line connects Düsseldorf Airport to the existing network and improves public transport. The key element of the first construction phase is the crossing of the high-intensity Nordstern interchange. The result is a bridge that follows a 90° curve with a radius of 245.5 m and a total length of 441.2 m. Designed as a “breathing bridge,” it combines innovative engineering with distinctive architectural quality.
