ESCENARIO NAKANO CHUOU

The site is characterised by a height difference of approximately 15 m in the surrounding area, with many steep slopes. The building’s design draws inspiration from the local topography, particularly the strata and slopes, to evoke the region’s unique geographical features. Special formwork was employed for the exterior walls, creating repeated rough, stratified undulations that express both the uplifted terrain and geological layers.
