Zweigenerationenhaus in Uedem am Niederrhein

The 1960s house was transformed into a multi-generational home with a separate apartment. A large pitched roof unifies the existing structure and extension into a calm, compact volume while creating protected outdoor spaces. By avoiding dormers and roof offsets, the design achieves a clear and timeless architectural language with a strong sense of privacy. The project demonstrates how sustainable densification and contemporary living can be realised within the existing building fabric.
