This new gatehouse was designed according to the principle of “form follows function” and serves simultaneously as the central hub for fire safety, security systems, and building automation across the campus. The new structure was initially erected beside the old gatehouse, which was subsequently dismantled, and now stands as a solitaire that interacts with surrounding traffic flows. A slab of exposed concrete serves to provide weather protection and shading for building and staff.
