Modular houses A and B are situated close to the forest, planned and partially built by the residents themselves. There are three modules per house: living, retreat, and outdoor storage, arranged like a miniature village with a central square. Meanwhile ‘streets 'and retreat areas are organised like an urban space with a central hall. The functional minimalism of the design, which includes a 120 sqm heated area, is adaptable for all stages of life. The houses blend into the 1960s settlement, yet stand confidently: a cave with a view, pared back to the essentials.
