Kyoei Steel Yamaguchi Division New Office Building

Kyoei Steel, a leading Japanese company, recycles steel scrap using electric furnaces to produce structural steel. Its new Yamaguchi office, themed ‘An office embraced in recycled steel’, symbolises the recycling process through architecture reminiscent of stacked ingots. Inside, locally made angle steel and rebars are used as finish materials. Barcode and QR code motifs extend throughout space, with lighting transforming these patterns into dynamic 3D expressions of the company’s identity and vision.
