Kirishima Beauty Salon

This project in Kagoshima creates a community-focused space centred on health and beauty. The building is strategically zoned, placing a café and terrace as meeting places on the road side, while a secluded beauty salon sits quietly at the rear. A 1.9-m overhanging eave seamlessly connects the lush interior to the town, doubling the parking area and expanding its function to an event space for markets. Designed with earth tones and horizontal lines, the architecture harmonises beautifully with the surrounding fields and homes.
