The goal here was to demonstrate how sustainable building renovation can be achieved. Retaining the building’s structural shell saves approximately 975 t of CO₂—equivalent to the emissions generated over 90 years of operation. Once the property was leased, renovations were carried out while it remained in operation, with the result being a sustainable, cost-effective building and a straightforward approach to comprehensive emissions reduction.
