The construction of the new ITMP building, situated in the immediate vicinity of the University Hospital, has created a key hub for translational research and medicine. The institute sees itself as a bridge between experimental research and clinical application in patients, using state-of-the-art facilities to develop innovative therapies and medicines based on medical insights into diseases caused by a dysfunctional immune system, and then translating these directly into healthcare practice.
