Suzhou Industrial Park South Cultural and Sports Center

An outstanding comprehensive cultural and sports centre comprising 30,000 sqm of space. The design transcends the constraints of site elongation with vertical growth. Staggered masses of library, exhibition hall, basketball/badminton hall, and theatre provide for a rich rooftop garden, while two winding urban mountain paths connecting interior and exterior are introduced along the forms, linking all major venues. The result is a diverse, three-dimensional, ecological civic centre.
