On a narrow, steeply sloping plot in Berneck stands a new building that responds sensitively to the topography and replaces an existing detached house. The structure is divided into two clearly defined elements: a solid base made of exposed concrete, which is anchored deep into the slope and accommodates the access and ancillary rooms, and a timber element construction above it with a striking pitched roof, in which the living areas are located.
