The redevelopment of Dishui Lake Plaza faces challenges, including an unclear spatial function, obstructed pedestrian routes, and poor walking experiences. Aging ground-level facilities and cluttered layouts undermine the overall appeal. The redevelopment is inspired by the image of the ‘white magnolia’, it ecompasses the optimisation of the road network, and the supporting facilities.
