Rijeka City Library

The reconstruction of the Rijeka City Library is part of the revitalisation of the Rikard Bencic industrial complex, built in the late 19th century. Due to structural damage, the southern section was demolished and recreated using prefabricated concrete panels on a visible steel frame in the interior. Structural interventions included wall reinforcement and pile foundations. Original walls, ceilings and metal columns were preserved, blending historical character with modern design.
