Stammhaus BAT Germany

Modernisation of the listed headquarters of BAT Germany (built in 1930) on Hamburg’s Outer Alster. ‘Leave out everything superfluous, keep everything necessary and useful’ was the approach of the Ratschko architecture firm. The result is an open, flexible working environment covering a total area of 8,500 sqm . The sustainable concept dissolved the cellular offices, optimised acoustics and light, and now enables sustainable, flexible use.
